FTC is pleased to announce the signing of the former Austria Wien defender, Emir Dilaver.

Friday morning Emir Dilaver, the former Austria Wien defender, put pen to paper on his contract to Ferencváros. Last season, the player played in the Champions League Group Round against Atletico Madrid, Zenit and Porto.


The 22 years old Emir, having Bosnian origins, can play on as RB, CB and DM. Dilaver signed for Austria Wien ten years ago in 2001. He went on loan to athird-league team, SV Wienerberg in 2008. Having played one full season there, Emir returned to Austria and played in the reserve team during the following season. His good performance raised the coaching staff’s attention and therefore, he recieved the opportunity to join the first team’s squad in 2011. He had his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga against Neustadt in Febrauary 2011.

In season 2011/2012 Emirhad many appearances in the Austrian league and Cup series and also on international fields, against Malmö in the Europa League Group Round. He scored his first goal in December 2012 against Wolfsberger and celebrated the team’s national championship title at the end of the season. In the previous season he took up on to the pitch four times in the Champions Leage.

Dilaver has had national team appearances in the U18, U19, U20 and U21 teams so far.
