FTC signed Julian Koch from Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The parties came to agreement and it is now official that Julian Koch from Fortuna Düsseldorf continues his career at Ferencváros.
Julian was born November 11, 1990 in Schwerte, Germany. At 4 he started playing at Vfl Hörde and between 2001 and 2008 played in the youth teams of Borussia Dortmund. For one season during this time Thomas Doll was head coach at Dortmund, and therefore our trainer knows well the then German youth national player Koch. For one-one match he played in the U17 and U18 Nationalelf, had four appearances at the U20, and two at the U21 national team.
Koch began his professional career at the yellow-black club, playing two seasons at the reserves, then being a member of the first squad. Due to a knee injury he could not get a place in the starting 11 and thus was sent on loan to MSV Duisburg. Although Duisburg qualified for the final of the German Cup in 2011, another injury made Julian miss it. Yet, he already has a German league and cup title as he was a member of the winner Dortmund team in season 2011-12.
With smaller interventions Koch spent three years in Duisburg, then signed for Mainz, which team he left in 2015 on loan to FC St. Pauli. With his 15 appearances he raised the attention of the management of Fortuna Düsseldorf, his last club before Ferencváros.
Julian is 26-year old, right footed, who plays most often Right Back but can also play on the right wing or as Defensive Midfielder.
