László Kleinheisler a core player of the Hungarian national team signs for Ferencváros.
Another young strengthening arrives to Ferencváros: after signing Endre Botka and István Bognár, the EURO 2016 participant László Kleinheisler will wear the grean-white jersey as well in the spring!
László Kleinheisler was born April 8, 1994 in Kazincbarcika. In 2006 he signed already from III. Kerület to Felcsút. With a short detour at Videoton, Kleinheisler had his debut at Puskás Academy: in season 2012/2013 he had 27 appearances, scored 8 times and gave 4 assists. By his contribution Felcsút won the Western group of NB II.
As a recognition of his outstanding performance he debuted in the first league at Videoton – scoring a goal already in his first game. While in the fall he became a regular, in the spring due to an injury he played less and left again to Felcsút. This time on loan.
At Puskás he became a core once again and gave three assists against Újpest. Videoton called him back seeing his great performance, but soon he did not receive the opportunity anymore since he was not willing to renew his contract.
Regardless, national head coach Bernd Storck was impressed by what he showed on the pitch and called him up to the national team. Kleinheisler found himself in the starting 11 against Norway in the EURO 2016 playoff, where he scored the first goal even.
From this moment Kleinheisler had a very secure position in the team of Storck. He travelled to France and played in the EURO matches, too. He began the spring of 2016 in Germany at Werder Bremen. With his play he soon was called the Maschine, but received the opportunity to play relatively seldomly. In the fall of 2016 he signed to Darmstadt on loan, where he scored his first Bundesliga goal and had 12 appearances so far.
Following the year spent in Germany László Kleinheisler will play for Ferencváros in the spring of 2017.

“As the trees of Kosztolányi, so belonged I to Üllői Street. My foes might have said: Albert loiters on the FTC pitch like the trees from Üllői Street with a slight difference; they don’t have their arms on their hips. Well, I was indeed loitering; what’s more, sometimes with my arms on my hip, but between two loitering, I performed some tricks, scored some goals and pleased a few hundred thousand football friends. For me, the FTC stadium meant everything: I, the lad from the countryside, could have become and became somebody there. MY FORTUNE LEAD ME THERE SINCE SOMEWHERE UP IN THE SKY IT HAD BEEN DETERMINED THAT MY LIFE WOULD BE FERENCVÁROS.” - Flórián Albert
