Following Dávid Sigér, Abraham Frimpong, Matías Rodriguez, Kjartan Finnbogason, Davide Lanzafame, and Marcel Heister, Ivan Petriak also signs for Fradi.

Ivan Petriak was born on 3 March 1994, in Smila, Ukraine. He started playing football in Kiev and his first professional club was Zorya Luhansk.

He earned his first Premier League cap at the age of 17, and became a more important asset of Zorya each year. In 2014, Petriak played his first international cup tie against Albanian side Laci.

In 2015/16, Petriak scored two goals while Zorya reached the Ukrainian Cup final, which they lost to Shakhtar. The player joined the victorious orange-black side but spent one more year in Luhansk on loan.

In 2016/17, Petriak started all 6 matches in the group stage of the Europa League against Manchester United, Fenerbahce, and Feyenoord. He recorded 5 goals and 8 assists in the Ukrainian Championship as Zorya reached the bronze medal.

In 2017/2018, Petriak played his first minutes in the Champions League for Shakhtar Donetsk, against Manchester City. He won the Ukrainian double with Shakhtar at the end of the season.

Petriak has played in various youth national teams before earning his first full international cap against Cyprus in 2016. He was selected further 3 times, including a World Cup qualifier against Turkey.
