Over the past week, our walking football players have participated in several sessions and team-building activities. After Tuesday's training session, the 10-man travelling squad was announced to compete in the European Walking Football League in Breda on the last day of May. Our team will start with 6 old and 4 new walking football players, and 2 of the newcomers have been appointed as reserves.
On Wednesday, part of the team cheered on our polo team in the LEN Champions League water polo match against Radnički Kragujevac. It was a well-attended programme, as Fradi's last-minute turnaround victory was the topic of conversation at the Thursday night walking football event the following day. This time the session was less well attended, so once again only three teams competed in the mini-tournament, which was won by team Fenyvesi, made up largely of travellers, by a landslide.
The highlight of the week was of course Sunday's championship derby, the Fradi vs Újpest game, where more than 30 of our footballers gathered together with their relatives to cheer for the victory and celebrate FTC's fourth consecutive, and 33rd title in total.
