
Our 36-time Hungarian champion men's soccer team hosted DVTK in the seventh round of the Fizz League. Our Irish head coach, Robbie Keane, put his trust in the starting lineup of Dibusz - Gartenmann, Raemaekers, Szalai - Cadu, Tóth, N. Keita, Kanikovszki, Nagy B. - Yusuf, Varga for the match held at the Groupama Arena.
First half
Our team created the first serious chance of the match. Barnabás Nagy crossed into the middle, and Yusuf headed the ball, but it went over the goal. In the ninth minute, after a corner kick by Alex Tóth, Gartenmann's header hit the crossbar. In the 15th minute, after a dangerous pass from Barnabás Nagy, the Diósgyőr defenders made a last-minute save from Barnabás Varga. In the 24th minute, Kanikovszki's bouncing shot caused danger inside the Miskolc box, but the ball ultimately went wide.
Two minutes later, Yusuf crossed from the left, Varga shot at goal, but Sentic saved the attempt with his foot. In the 29th minute, Alex Tóth took a shot from 23 meters, but our midfielder missed the goal. Two minutes later, Varga tried a header, but Sentic saved it. In the 33rd minute, DVTK took the lead when Babos scored from close range (0-1). In the 44th minute, Dibusz made a great save after a header by Vallejo. DVTK doubled their lead in stoppage time in the first half: after winning the ball, Acolatse ran through our half, pulled the ball past Dibusz and shot into the empty net (0-2).
Second half
Head coach Robbie Keane tried to shake things up at halftime with four substitutions. In the 49th minute, Barnabás Varga headed the ball onto the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Makreckis' shot went over the bar. In the 65th minute, Robbie Keane made his fifth substitution, bringing on Aleksandar Pesic to replace Yusuf. In the 67th minute, we finally scored a goal! Gruber pushed the ball inwards and then, from 20 meters out, fired it into the bottom left corner with a beautiful shot (1-2)!
In the 71st minute, Gruber shot from distance again, but this time the ball left the field a few centimeters wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, the excellent Gruber found the net again, but the goal was disallowed for offside. A minute later, Pesics shot from close range, but Sentic saved. In the 80th minute, Dibusz saved Acolatse's shot for a corner. In the 91st minute, we managed to equalize when Gruber found the net with a superb move (2-2)! A minute later, Varga curled the ball towards the top left corner, but it went just centimeters wide. Shortly afterwards, Ötvös took a shot, but he also missed the goal. The final score was 2-2.

The action continues next Thursday at 9 p.m., when we host Czech side Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Europa League group stage.
