MOL Hungarian Cup men's football ftc fradi ferencváros kazincbarcika-ftc
Our men's football team, which made a big comeback on Sunday and defeated Kazincbarcika 2-1, played against the Borsod team again on Wednesday evening, this time in the quarterfinals of the MOL Hungarian Cup. The venue this time was the DVTK Stadium in Miskolc, where the NB I newcomer plays its home games.
Dénes Dibusz returned to the starting lineup after several months out – he last played on November 30 in a 2-1 league win at Puskás Akadémia – as the coaching and medical staff decided that our national team goalkeeper's hand injury was a thing of the past. As he himself said on Fradi Zóna Értékelés Live by iFOREX Europe, his saves were going well in training and he was no longer in pain, so after consulting with head coach Robbie Keane, he was given the opportunity to play.

First half
There were no noteworthy opportunities in the first quarter of an hour, with neither side posing a threat on goal. But that changed as the 20-minute mark approached!
In the 18th minute, Callum O'Dowda broke nicely into the box from the left, but Bamidele Yusuf was unable to convert his low pass into a goal because Bence Juhász made a great save with his foot. Three minutes later, even the goalkeeper, who had made several great saves at Groupama Arena, was helpless. After a cross from the right, O'Dowda headed the ball into the middle, which Lenny Joseph headed towards the goal. From there, a Barcika defender was able to clear the ball off the goal line, but the rebound bounced to Yusuf, who immediately shot the ball into the goal despite Juhász's attempt to save it. 0-1!
And when a deal gets going! In the 25th minute, Jonathan Levi took a corner from the right, Mariano Gómez made an excellent run in the middle and headed the ball into the goal from five meters out. 0-2! Less than five minutes had passed, and Ferencváros was already up by three! In the 30th minute, goalkeeper Juhász mishandled the ball after a back pass, and it bounced away from him, but right to Joseph, who calmly shot it into the goal. 0-3!

Semir Smajlagic then took aim at Dibusz's goal, but his shot missed the bottom left corner. At the end of the first half, however, Fradi struck twice! First, Yusuf scored his second and Ferencváros' fourth goal in the 41st minute after another nice individual effort. 0-4! Four minutes later, O'Dowda's cross from the left finally found Cadu inside the box, and our Brazilian winger scored with his left foot.

Second half
The second half began with shots on goal from both sides, but while Dibusz saved Bálint Kártik's attempt, Juhász saved Krisoffer Zachariassen's shot. In the 54th minute, Júlio Romao's long-range shot deflected off a defender and fell to Joseph, but our French striker's close-range attempt was saved by Juhász.
In the 65th minute, Dibusz had to make another great save! Nyíri, who had come on as a substitute, took a shot, which Smajlagic got a hand to in the middle, but our goalkeeper made a brilliant save from the bottom right corner. In the 78th minute, substitute Gólik Benjámin also tested Juhász, but the Kazincbarcika goalkeeper saved the hard, but central shot from 18 meters. There were no further noteworthy events in the rest of the match, and after an excellent first half, we won 5-0.
With this victory, we will host ETO FC, currently leading the Fizz League, on Wednesday, April 22, at the Groupama Arena. The Hungarian Football Association will announce the official date and time later.
