Our 34-time champion men's football team played away at ZTE in the 6th round of the OTP Bank Liga. Csaba Máté started with Dibusz - Makreckis, Cissé, Mmaee, Ramírez - Esiti, Abu Fani - Ben Romdhane, Tokmac, Traoré, Varga B.
First half
The game started with a cold start for our team. Antonio Mance, recently transferred to ZTE, shot at Dibusz from about 22 meters, but the ball bounced in off the left post and the home team took the lead after only five minutes (1-0). In the 11th minute Tokmac asked for a substitution, the Norwegian player injured his thigh and could not continue the game, Kristoffer Zachariassen came on for him.
In the 16th minute ZTE came close to a second goal, but a cross from the left wing near our five-meter line went under the legs without reaching anyone. We tried to threaten mainly from corners with little success. Three minutes later, our problems increased, as Bedi's cross from the right was headed into our goal by Mim over Dibusz (2-0). In the 24th minute, Dibusz had to make a great save from a rebounded shot from distance.
Ben Romdhane was brought down at the other goal with the help of Csóka, and the referee awarded a penalty. Barnabás Varga got behind the ball and made no mistake, scoring his 12th goal in a Fradi shirt in his 12th game. Zachariassen could have equalized almost immediately, but the home goalkeeper Senkó saved superbly. Shortly afterwards, the Norwegian player was in position again, but he was brought down by Bedi, and the video referee awarded another penalty a few minutes later. Varga kept a calm head to level the scores, and a minute later, after a superb launch, Traoré's masterful roll outside the box gave us the lead (2-3). Before the break, Zachariassen had another chance, but he missed the ball. After a bad start, our team turned the game around and led 3-2 at half time.
Second half
Myenty Abena replaced Cisse in defence for the restart. The second half started with a dangerous shot from Mance, but the attempt missed the target. At the other end, Varga scored another goal, the third goal of the season (2-4). In the 67th minute, Szendrei tried to score from distance, but was unsuccessful. Marquinhos and Dávid Sigér replaced Ben Romdhane and Abu Fani for the last quarter of an hour. The Fradi scoring flow was not over yet, as in the 84th minute we were awarded another penalty, which Traoré calmly converted (2-5). In the 90th minute, Zachariassen also got on the scoresheet, putting the icing on the cake (2-6).
At the end of the match, the Fradi fans cheered Csaba Máté, who led Ferencváros to our second league game in a row, scoring six goals and another confident victory, ending in a 6-2 win for Fradi.
