Ben Romdhane among Africa’s best footballers
Our midfielder has qualified into the best 30 men, who are still in race for the CAF Player of the year award.

The African Football Association (CAF) has announced the players, from whom the continent’s best player of 2023 will be selected. Our club is a participant in the race, because Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane was nominated as well. The CAF presented a list with 30 players, among the names are Riyad Mahrez, who won the European Champions League with Manchester City last season, Liverpool’s star, the Egyptian Mohamed Salah or the Nigerian Victor Osimhen, who led Napoli to the championship title in Italy. The defending champion is Sadio Mané from Senegal, who is also among the nominees.

The top30 list was made by CAF officials, African football legends and acclaimed journalists. The award will be given to the player, who had the best performance between November 2022 and September 2023. The decision will be made by sports directors, coaches and journalists. The awards gala will take place in Marrakesh on the 11th of December.
