This summer has been another busy one for Ferencváros. After playing against the champions from Kosovo, Litvania and Czech Republic, today our team encountered Young Boys from Switzerland in the Champions League play-off. We started the round with an away match and took a dream start with Boli’s rocketing shot and goal in the 14th minute. The home team did not let us celebrate long, within two minutes the scoreboard showed already 1-1. The following minutes were favoring Fradi once again: we received a penalty that came out from the keeper but Laidouni managed to push into the goal. The result remained unchanged because the referees noticed that Laidouni stepped inside the box during the penalty shot. This was a petty and we could not live with the chance from the red card either. Before half time Sierro scored for Young Boys and in the 65th minute they raised the difference to 3-1. All three Young Boys goals were long-distance shots today. This started looking dangerous but Boli scored once more and closed up to 3-2.
In the remaining minutes we did not manage to equalize anymore, so we need to turn the aggregate result next week in Budapest.
