After a three-week break from the league, our men’s football team played again against Budafok Sunday afternoon. Head coach Rebrov sent many of the national team players on to the pitch right away, so Dibusz, Lovrencsics, Botka, Blazic, Civic, Laidouni, Uzuni, Mak and Tokmac all played from the first minute.
Ferencváros controlled the match from start but the home team also created sporadic chances. Despite our dominance, the teams left for half time at 0-0. In the second half we continued where we stopped in the first, created attack after attack. This resulted in a goal in the 55th minute, when Uzuni scored calmly. Budafok’s player, Huszti, who caused the penalty by touching the ball with his arm received another yellow card a couple minutes later and our team ended up having a one-man advantage. Then, Boli extended the lead which was made to three-nil in the 89th minute by Sigér’s beautiful, scissor-goal. This did not mean the end as substitute Giorgi Kharaishvili finished the match with a nice header that made the final result 4-0.
With this win, we are approaching firmly the club's 32nd league title: we are already champions if we defeat Puskás Academy next week.
