Our thirty-five-time champion men's football team visited Miskolc in the 32nd round of the OTP Bank League on Saturday. For this match Dejan Stankovic voted for the starting line-up of Varga Ádám - Makreckis, Mmaee, Aaneba, Pászka - Ben Romdhane, Tóth A., Loncar - Szevikjan, Kodro, Lisztes.
First half
The home side took the kick-off, but our team quickly got the ball and took control. In the third minute, Ben Romdhane's dangerous ball was missed by his mates and two minutes later Lisztes' free-kick flew over the top of the right corner of the goal. DVTK's first chance came in the ninth minute when Szatmári headed wide of the target.
In the 17th minute, Loncar's free-kick was headed over the top bar by Mmaee, and Vallejo did the same for the home side. Nine minutes later, Mmaee set up Pászka on the left wing, who crossed for Kodro in the middle, but the Bosnian striker bombed over the goal. In the 30th minute, Pászka again centred well, this time finding Sevikjan, but our winger headed wide of the right post.
In the 38th minute we came close to taking the lead, Ben Romdhane had a great launch for Kodro who hit the left post, the rebound was met by Sevikjan but his shot was blocked. Four minutes later, Ádám Varga produced a great effort, reaching Vallejo's flat shot into the middle. In the last minute of the first half, Loncar rolled in from the left corner of the penalty area, but Odintsov saved well.
Second half
Dejan Stankovic made one substitution at the break, with Katona coming on for Ben Romdhane. In the 54th minute, Szabó's attempt was saved by Ádám Varga, then Klimovich's effort was off target. In the 63rd minute our head coach made three changes, Pászka was replaced by Civic, Lisztes by Marquinhos and Sevikjan by Zachariassen.
In the 68th minute Gera's shot crashed over the top bar, and four minutes later Pernambuco rolled in from a sharp angle, but again Ádám Varga was alert. In the 75th minute, Loncar took aim at the home goal but his shot was weak. At the other end, however, Gera was lucky and his ball went into the far post to give Diósgyőr the lead (1-0).
In the 82nd minute, we took our last chance to make a substitution, with Kehinde coming on for Alex Tóth. However, the substitutions could not change the game, and in the 89th minute the home team scored their second goal by Szabó (2-0). In the restart, no further goals were scored, so DVTK won this time by 2-0.
