Easy victory against DVSC
Ferencvaros won 3-0 away at Debrecen in the sixth round of the Fizz League.

Our 36-time champion men's football team faced DVSC in the sixth round of the Fizz League. Head coach Robbie Keane sent Dibusz, Cadu, Gartenmann, Raemaekers, Szalai, Nagy B., Keita, Tóth A., Kanikovszki – Pesics, Varga B. starting lineup onto the pitch.

First half

Szalai had the first shot on goal at the end of the 7th minute, but our defender couldn't find the net. Shortly thereafter, Pesics had a chance to score, but he passed to Varga instead, and the home team's defense was able to clear the ball. In the 13th minute, Tóth played a great pass to Cadú on the right, whose cross found Kanikovszki, who shot immediately, but the ball hit the crossbar. Almost immediately afterwards, Pesics headed the ball, but our goalkeeper, Ádám Varga, who is on loan at DVSC, was able to save it. After the corner, however, he was powerless to prevent Barnabás Varga from heading home to give us the lead (0-1).

Shortly afterwards, Cadu also scored, but after a lengthy video review, the goal was disallowed. Our team continued to dominate the game, with the home side unable to get anywhere near our goal. We had to wait until the 39th minute for DVSC's first shot, with Bárány trying his luck from distance, but Dibusz saved. On the other side, however, Barnabás's teamwork resulted in our second goal, with Nagy Barnabás delivering a perfect cross from the left to Varga Barnabás, who had no trouble finishing (0-2).

Second half

Right at the start of the second half, DVSC scored a beautiful goal by Bárány at the end of a nice move, but it was disallowed due to offside. Szűcs then missed the target with a shot. In the 57th minute, we made a substitution, with Gruber Zsombor replacing Pesics, and later Ötvös Bence and Jonathan Levi also came on for Tóth and Keita. In the 71st minute, Gruber tried his luck from distance, but his shot went over the bar, then Dibusz saved Gordic's attempt. After that, Szűcs's shot required a brilliant save from our team captain. We made two more substitutions in the final minutes, with Cebrail Makreckis and Callum O'Dowda coming on for Cadu and Barnabás Nagy.

Raemaekers got on the end of a dangerous cross from our Irish player on the left, but Varga made a great save. Gruber, who came on as a substitute, made a great run into the box in the 88th minute and shot with his left foot from 20 meters into the bottom left corner. (0-3) This was the fourth goal in the league for our young striker, who was recently called up to the Hungarian national team.

There were no more chances, and our team won 3-0 away at DVSC. There is now a break for international fixtures, and our team will next take to the field on Saturday, September 13, in the third round of the MOL Hungarian Cup against Szarvaskend.
