FAREWELL TO CONFERENCE LEAGUE
Ferencváros suffered a 1-0 defeat to Olympiacos in the return leg.

Our 34-time champion men's football team hosted Olympiakos in the second match of the UEKL playoffs. The first leg inPiraeus was a 1-0 home win, leaving the team one goal down going into the return leg. In the match, Dejan Stankovic gave the starting line-up of Dibusz - Wingo, Mmaee, Cissé, Civic - Zachariassen, Abu Fani, Maiga, Marquinhos - Kodro, Varga Barnabás the confidence.

First half

The home side showed great energy from the first minute, and in the third minute a free kick from the corner of the penalty area was awarded after a foul on Kodro, but Abu Fani's cross was cleared by the visiting defenders. After the first ten minutes, the game levelled out, with our opponents repeatedly getting in front of our goal, but their attempts were blocked by our defence.In the 34th minute, Zachariassen won a ball in midfield and shot from the penalty area, but missed the target. Three minutes later, Kodro tried to cross Paskalakis from the halfway line, but the Olympiacos goalkeeper got back to his goal. Shortly afterwards, Fortunis received a good ball but shot wide of the left post from close range. Seconds later Podence had a chance but he also missed the target.

In the 44th minute the referee awarded a penalty, Mmaee touched the ball with his hand. El Kaabi converted the penalty (0-1) and the teams went into the break with a one-goal away lead.

Second half

At the break Dejan Stankovic made two substitutions, Wingo was replaced by Makreckis and Kodro by Pesic. In the second half, our team continued to attack for an equaliser, we took several corners, but most of them were without danger. In the 67th minute, Ramírez replaced Civic and Ben Romdhane came on for Zachariassen. Two minutes later, Makreckis was on target for Paskalakis, but his attempt went over the top bar.

In the 75th minute, Barnabas Varga headed wide of the goal and Ben Romdhane was well set up but could not get on the end of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Jovetic stepped up and aimed for the far bottom corner but Dibusz saved to a corner. Three minutes later we made our last substitution, Marquinhos left the pitch and Katona continued in his place. In the 89th minute, Abu Fani curled in a free kick, Mmaee got on the ball but couldn't threaten.

No goal was scored in the final minutes and we said goodbye to the UEFA Europa Conference League for this season.
