Fradi behind another great cause
FTC and the Hungarian Special Olympics Committee signed a cooperation agreement.

On December 3rd, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Ferencvárosi Torna Club and the Hungarian Special Olympics Committee signed a cooperation at FTC-MVM Sports Center. The agreement was signed by the Committee’s president, Lajos Lengyel, and Zoltán Nyíri, Vice President of FTC. By this agreement, FTC offers infrastructural and sporting support to the organization.

It is a very uplifting moment that we can include the Hungarian Special Olympics Committee among our partners – says Zoltán Nyíri, Vice President  of FTC. – Ferencvárosi Torna Club does what it can to support the athletes in their preparation to the Olympic Games. Naturally, in the current Covid-times we need to be careful, so the bigger, joint campaigns will be launched only later on. Until then, the colleagues of the Speacial Olympics Committee and our club will start the joint work, so that FTC can support the athletes with disabilities during their day-to-day preparation.

Lajos Lengyel added that it has been one of the most beautiful moments in the history of the Committee to start this partnership with the biggest and most popular club of the country.

This agreement spans out to all sport arts that both FTC and the Committee supports. We agreed with Zoltán Nyíri, that this will not just become another signature, but a partnership with content. This is not the easiest during the pandemic but we have already started planning our joint activities and meetings with the athletes and trainers of FTC. We hope and believe that the expertise from Ferencváros will contribute to the development of our athletes and trainers. Also, hopefully, the trainers will get more familiar with the special needs of people living with disabilities. We organize around 120 events in 21 sports arts in a year, so I am sure that we will find the means of cooperating with Ferencváros.
