Our defending Hungarian champions and Europa Conference League group stage men's football team hosted Mezőkövesd in the 15th round of the championship at the Groupama Arena after defeating Cukaricki 2-1 away during the week. Our head coach Dejan Stankovic made several changes to the starting eleven compared to Thursday, sending out Dibusz - Botka, Abena, Cissé, Civic - Makreckis, Abu Fani - Marquinhos, Zachariassen, Lisztes - Pesic.
Before the meeting, President of Ferencváros Torna Club, Gábor Kubatov, welcomed our Israeli national team midfielder Mohammed Abu Fani, who was voted the best footballer of October by our fans.

First half
Our team had the first chance of the match, in the 5th minute Pesic, the hero of the Cukaricki game, shot after a pass from Cissé, but missed the goal. Five minutes later, the visitors attacked, but Drazsic and Cseri's passing Abu Fani cleared. In the 13th minute, Mezőkövesd threatened again, but Dibusz saved Drazsics' effort and moments later a dangerous free-kick was saved by the Hungarian national team goalkeeper.
In the 20th minute Civic was played in by Marquinhos, our winger's header was weak and Piscitelli saved. Ten minutes later, Pesic scored from a free kick on the left, but the referee awarded a free kick for hand-play and our Serbian striker received a yellow card. Two minutes before the end of the first half, Abu Fani's pass was lucky to find Zachariassen, but the visiting defence cleared in time. After a corner kick from the left, Abena was left on the ground, medical assistance came immediately to our defender, who after a long treatment left the pitch on a stretcher, and Wingo came in his place. No goals were scored in the first 45 minutes and the teams went into the break with a 0-0 scoreline.

Second half
One change at the break: Botka was replaced by Bálint Katona, who assisted in the Conference League match in midweek.
In the first few minutes after the turnaround, our team created more chances, in the 48th minute, first Katona's shot was blocked, the deflected shot was headed over by Civic, and then Cissé's header from Lisztes' slide was cleared. In the 60th minute we made another substitution: Tokmac came on for Marquinhos. In the 68th minute, we took a free-kick from a promising position, but Civic's effort missed the top right corner.
Three minutes later, Tokmac changed rhythm after a good cross, outpaced his opponent and fired from the edge of the box, but Piscitelli saved the attempt from midfield. In the 75th minute, after Makreckis' cross, Pesics fired in a left-footed shot, but missed the target from a tight spot. Seven minutes before the end of normal time, Vajda crossed the ball, Drazsics slid it to Cseke, who shot wide from close range and the score remained 0-0.
In the last minute of extra time, we had a chance to win the game, but it was missed and we played out a goalless draw against Mezőkövesd in the 15th round of the tournament.
Our men's football team will next play Mezőkövesd on Wednesday 6 December at 19.30, when they will make up for the postponed 4th round match.
