Our 36-time Hungarian men's football champion Ferencvaros has signed 24-year-old left wing-back Barnabás Nagy.
- Barna has already attracted attention with his dynamics, intensity and work rate. He has given us a lot of assists during the season, so he is definitely an offensive-minded left-back with experience in different playing systems, whether we play with three defenders or four, said our club's sporting director Tamás Hajnal.
Introduction
Barnabás Nagy was born on 5 September 2000. He started his football career at Szigetvár TK, then he played in the youth teams of Pécs MFC. In 2016 he joined the academy of FTC, from there he went to Szentlőrinc SE, where he spent one year, and from there he transferred to the U19 team of MTK. He was loaned from the Blue and Whites' youth team to Ajka for a season, before returning to the capital. MTK then loaned him out twice to his former team Szentlőrinc, and he finally joined Nyíregyháza for free in 2023.
He played 90 games in all competitions for Nyíregyháza, scoring 1 goal and 12 assists. His only top-flight goal came on 21 September 2024 in a 3-2 win over DVSC.
