IMPORTANT VICTORY OVER CRVENA!
With goals from Kristoffer Zachariassen and Samy Mmaee Ferencváros beat Crvena zvezda 2-1.

Defending Hungarian champion Ferencváros hosted Crvena zvezda on Thursday night in the fourth round of the UEFA Europa League group stage. Stanislav Cherchesov made a number of changes to the starting eleven in Belgrade, sending out Dibusz - Botka, Knoester, S. Mmaee, Pászka - Vécsei, Besic - Zachariassen, Gojak, Traoré - R. Mmaee.

First half

Zachariassen started the ball, but the away team created the first chance with our defense being alert and able to block After a quick clearance, Botka ran down on the right wing, centered and his ball fell just in front of Besic: the Bosnian shot but missed the target. In the fourth minute, our team was in front of the goal again, but Besic's shot to the centre was blocked.

Our team started well, in the sixth minute Gojak had a shot but it was also blocked by the Serbian defence. Three minutes later, the Serbian team caused danger but Samy Mmaee saved their cross. In the following minutes, our will prevailed, the visitors only got the ball occasionally and tried to get behind our defence with their short passing.

In the 24th minute, Zachariassen's first shot was blocked by Borjan after a great run of play, but the Norwegian midfielder ruthlessly slammed the rebound into the goal (1-0). Two minutes later, Sanogo was taken down, the medical team arrived immediately and indicated that he could not continue, Kangwa came on in his place.

Towards the end of the first half we were again the more dangerous and determined team, Crvena zvezda could not get through our defence. On several occasions, the Serbs tried to score from free kicks, but Samy Mmaee and Knoester both freed up with their heads. Neither team could create any more chances and the teams went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Second half

After the turnaround, the visitors did not have to wait long for the first situation, and Zvezda took advantage of it, but the video referee indicated that a handball preceded the goal, and the Fradi lead remained. Five minutes later, we came close to a second goal, but Mmaee's shot just hit the post. Then, in the 55th minute Mitrovic equalised (1-1).

Two minutes later Katai tried to score but missed the target. In the 60th minute, a left-wing attack found Zachariassen, who aimed for the short top corner, but Borjan saved. However, Samy Mmaee came on for the corner kick and the Serbian goalkeeper was helpless (2-1) with Samy's header. In the 66th minute, a change was made, Tokmac replacing Gojak.

In the 68th minute, Adama Traoré was in position, but the Malian striker could not take advantage of the opportunity and the score remained 2-1. Zvezda switched up the gears, but the chances they created and found were ineffective.

Besic was replaced by Anderson Esiti as the match entered its last minutes. With four minutes to go, Tokmac pushed the ball past the keeper but the Norwegian striker was unable to get a touch on it. In the five-minute added time, the visitors' shot missed the target by inches, then Franck Boli replaced Ryan Mmaee. In the last minute, Zvezda took a free kick from a dangerous position near the box, but Dibusz saved Kangwa's shot.

Ferencváros men's football team produced a stunning performance to beat Crvena zvezda 2-1 and remain top of Group H with 9 points.
