We played the first FTC-Újpest derby of 2021 today with some changes in the lineup compared to the weekend’s league match: the new signing Wingo was for the first time in the starting XI. Although the first ten minutes were relatively eventless, then Újpest could create some chances, by the 25th minutes we have taken the lead: first Isael tried from 13, the ball bounced back and Uzuni tried with a header which came back again. Finally, Isael could finish the attack with a goal. In the rest of the first half no more major chances were created.

After half time we extended our lead quickly with an own goal from Tallo. He headed into his own goal after Isael’s corner shot. Minutes later even Dibusz needed to show some blocks but he stood firm and the purple-white players were unable to get behind him. In the 77th minute Uzuni scored and made the difference three and before the final whistle even Vécsei scored from a distant shot.

Újpest – Ferencváros: 0-4. Fradi increased its lead to 13 points now over MOL Fehérvár, Újpest fell back to the 11th position, to the relegation zone.
