Ferencváros began season 2021-22 Tuesday afternoon against FC Prishtina in the Champions League qualifier. This has been the debut match for head coach Peter Stöger and also for Mmaee who scored already a few minutes after coming to pitch.
We played offensively from the first minute and created very dangerous attacks during the first period, among others, with a shot bouncing back from the crossbar. Although we were close, the teams left to half time with 0-0. In the second half things have changed significantly: in only seven minutes, between the 71st and 78th minutes we scored three times. First, Tokmac finished the attack after Civic’s crossing. Then, Ryan Mmaee doubled the lead from close range. Finally, Blazic scored from a corner situation. Although we had even more chances and this has just been the first match of the season, we finished the first qualifying leg with a confident victory and can travel to Kosovo with good prospects.
