After a 5-3 victory in Székesfehérvár in the first league match of the 2023/24 season and a goal-rich success against Hamrun Spartans in the ECL qualifier in Malta in midweek, our defending Hungarian champions hosted Puskás Akadémia FC in their first home match of the season at Groupama Arena on Sunday evening. Head coach Csaba Máté sent out a starting line-up of Dibusz - Wingo, Cissé, Mmaee, Knoester, Ramírez - Baráth, Katona, Ben Romdhane - Lisztes, Owusu.
In the first minutes of the match, the visitors built up attacks, but they were often blocked by our defenders. Gradually we took control of the game and in the fourth minute Ramírez had the chance to take a corner and his cross found Lisztes, who headed over the goal. In the eighth minute we had a free kick, but Katona's ball was cleared by the Felcsút defenders.

The latter had an immediate chance but failed to score after a pass from Abu Fani. Seconds later, Lisztes and then Traoré threatened, but the former's shot was blocked, while Traoré's effort was saved by Markek. The visitors' keeper also saved Barnabás Varga's header in the 52nd minute. Seven minutes later, Traoré ran out wide and passed to Zachariassen, but the Norwegian's shot slipped past the right post.
