Former player of Atalanta of Italy and Toulouse of France, one-time Serbian international striker Aleksandar Pesic will continue his career in the green and white jersey of Ferencvaros.
Pesic was born in Nis in 1992 and started playing football for Partizan Beograd, from where he soon moved to Nis' youth team. Starting at U19 level, he spent two years with Crete before moving to Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova in 2013. The following season, he returned to his hometown club Jagodina before joining French top-flight side Toulouse. He scored eight goals and registered seven assists in 57 Ligue 1 matches. The French side then loaned him to Atalanta for six months, giving Pesic a chance to make his Serie A debut.
In 2018, he returned to Serbia for six months, this time to Crvena Zvezda, and then tried his hand in Asia, where he played for Al-Ittihad and Seoul, among others. He rejoined the Red and Whites in Belgrade in the summer of 2022, serving an assist in the first-ever group stage match between the Serbian champions and our team in the Europa League. At the end of the season, he celebrated a league title and a cup victory, contributing 16 goals and 10 assists in 40 matches.
The striker has also played for the Serbian national team at senior level, and in 2016 he made a senior appearance in a pre-season match against Ukraine. The value of the striker is currently estimated at €2.8 million by the respected Transfermarkt portal, making him the 3rd most valuable player in the OTP Bank Liga along with Dibusz Dénes.
