Signing from Premier League
After seven years in England, the Bosnian national player Muhamed Besic returns to Ferencváros!

The 32 times Hungarian championship title holder Ferencváros signs its former player, the 45-times Bosnian national team player Muhamed Besic.

Besic arrived first to Fradi in the summer of 2012 and with his wholehearted play the Fradi supporters quickly accepted him. He gave the maximum on every match and fought until the last minute. He has played in several positions, as center defender, right back but also as defensive midfielder. At Fradi he has had 71 appearances and scored two goals. One, the “gangster goal” can be watched below:

After 2014 not only the Fradi fans but the entire Hungarian population learned the name of Muhamed Besic. With Bosnia, he participated in the World Cup and played against Argentina, Nigeria and Iran. He stood impressively firm against the Golden Ball winner Lionel Messi.

With his performance in Brazil, it became obvious that Besic has surpassed the level of the Hungarian league and he received better and better offers from the top leagues. Finally, for almost 5million EUR, he signed for Everton in the Premier League. Since then he played 46 PL matches and in the last seasons he also played at Middlesbrough and at Sheffield United on loan.

His contract expired in July 2021 so he could join our club now as a free transfer.
