The world has changed around us in a second. Protecting our lives and health has become probably more important than ever. In these tough times, we would like that our supporters remain with the club and keep supporting Ferencvarosi Torna Club. FTC is taking all efforts to overcome the financial difficulties due to the pandemic by its own strength. It is definitely not easy. COVID-19 has hit hard our continent, Europe. Hungary has won the first battle, but the “war” is far from being over and this comes with economic losses.
Most likely FTC will not be able to upkeep its current financial state. We hope, but do not know at this point, how many of our sponsors will be able to support the club in the future. We can count on the support of our fans, but not on their presence currently. As per the decisions from the Hungarian Federation, season 2019/20 continues with closed gates. This means, that the last five home games in the season will be played without supporters. This also means a huge loss of income.
We all hoped for continuing the season and doing this together with our fantastic supporters on the stands. There is no one who would like to play without supporters, but today, this is the only possible way to stop the spread of COVID-19. The scenario is neither ideal for the supporters, nor for the club, but it is still better than not having football at all. Ferencvarosi Torna Club is this way losing a main source of revenue and is facing serious financial difficulties. In the past weeks we received several supporting letters from our fans, where they offered their help and noted that they would not request a refund on their tickets or season tickets. Ferencvárosi Torna Club is grateful for their generosity.
Those who feel that the current difficult economic situation does not allow them to act like this and need to request a refund, can receive a refund equivalent of their ticket value or proportionate amount of season tickets in the form of top-up to their supporter cards. These supporters can submit their request within 15 days of issuing this statement, through an email to jegypenztar@fradi.hu or via regular mail (Ferencvárosi Torna Club, 1091, Budapest, Üllői út 129). In these requests, please include your name, supporter card ID and a description of your request. In the subject of the email or on the envelope, please write “REFUND”.
Once again, we are grateful for the engagement and devotedness of our supporters in such difficult times, we are grateful for their patience and support, which just proves that the members of the Fradi Family are truly sticking together in not only good, but bad times as well.
