THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, FRANCK!
After three years, three league golds, one HK win, one international group rounds, Franck Boli is leaving.

One of the fans' favourites, Franck Boli, is leaving our men's football team. The Ivorian striker has played 141 games for our club in all competitions, scoring 50 goals (8 of which came in pre-season matches). The derby specialist Boli scored in the Champions League group game against Dinamo Kiev, which helped Ferencváros to collect a point in the most prestigious European competition after 25 years, and also scored in the home clash against Juventus. In Green and White, he has won three league and one Hungarian Cup titles, and participated in one Champions League and two Europa League group stage series.

Franck Boli arrived from Norwegian champions Stabaek in August 2019. Boli proved to be an extremely productive scorer for his former club, as evidenced by the fact that he was the top scorer in the Norwegian league with 17 goals prior to his arrival at Fradi.

Memorable moments at Fradi

Who doesn't remember the 2019/2020 season, when our team made it back to the big stage of European club football, the Champions League group stage, and the amazing journey to success? In the very first qualifying round we hosted Swedish champions Djurgarden, where Boli scored a goal in a 2-0 win. He followed that up with a 2-1 away win over Celtic and a 2-1 home win over Dinamo Zagreb to put the CL top-flight within reach. It was with these hopes in mind that we headed to Norway to face Molde, a team that Boli knows well. The trip to Norway ended well, as our Ivorian striker scored the first Fradi goal in a 3-3 draw, setting the stage for the rest.

Finally, a 0-0 draw at home, and the away goals rule that was still in force at the time, saw our team qualify for the Champions League group stage again after 25 years, where they were grouped with Barcelona of Spain, Juventus of Italy and Dinamo Kiev of Ukraine. After the defeat in Barcelona, we hosted the Ukrainian side at home and, although trailing 2-0, Tokmac scored and Boli equalised in the last minutes of extra time to earn our first point in the Champions League, but he also scored in the home meeting with Juventus.

His great performances in the European Cup competition were not unmatched in the Hungarian league. He scored his first league goal against arch-rivals Újpest, and then scored in the other two derbies of the season, his three goals in three 1-0 wins, so it's no wonder he immediately endeared himself to our fans.

The 2021/22 season saw Ferencváros play in the Hungarian Cup final again after five years, and in front of a full house at the Puskás Arena. Franck Boli was not without debt to the fans, as he led the way with two dazzling goals to beat Paks 3-0 and claim his 24th MK title, while he was also voted 'Best Player of the Match' in the final.

Franck Boli is a player with a big heart, a real fighter. With his constant will to win, his many fine moves and his no-loser mentality, he has endeared himself to the fans of Ferencváros.

Thanks for everything Franck, we wish you all the best for the next stage of your career!
