Uzuni hat trick – past Prishtina
Ferencváros advanced to the 2nd qualifying round with a 6-1 aggregate result.

Last Tuesday FTC began its 2021 journey in the Champions League. The first opponent, FC Prishtina from Kosovo stood firm in the first half of the game, but in the second half were unable to stop the Fradi attacks and left Budapest in the end with a 3-goal disadvantage.

The 1st qualifying round continued today with the 2nd leg in Kosovo where the match was played with closed gates due to the pandemic. The home team wanted to show their strength in the beginning of the match and created chances but once again, the first half ended with 0-0. In the beginning of the second half our team’s higher quality came out: first Tokmac started an attack and launched Uzuni, who passed the ball into the net in between the legs of the goalkeeper (48th). At this point Prishtina could come back and first hit the bar, then equalize a couple minutes later. They deserved this goal but could not celebrate long before the next Fradi goal. Uzuni passed the ball to the side to Civic in the 80th minute, who centered back to Uzuni – the Albanian player did not miss and passed calmly to the net. Finally, to put the icing on the cake, Uzuni finished another attack, marking a hat trick and the third goal of Fradi for today.

All in all, Prishtina fought strong but our team advanced to the next round with a convincing 6-1 aggregate result.
