Our 35-time Hungarian men's football champions played their first preparation match of the first summer training camp against Slovenian NK Nafta Lendava, who fought for promotion to the first division at the end of the previous season. Head coach Pascal Jansen sent to the pitch the starting line-up of Varga Á. - Kaján, Knoester, Cissé, Ramírez - Zachariassen, Abu Fani, Loncar - Owusu, Bassey, Marquinhos.

First half

In the first minutes of the game Owusu and Marquinhos were causing danger on both wings, the latter shot from distance but the ball was deflected off the head of a defender. In the 9th minute Owusu received a cross and fired from a sharp angle, but the goalkeeper saved. Nafta also had their first chance, but Adam Varga confidently saved the shot. Moments later, our goalkeeper had to deal with a free kick, but he had no problems then either. In the 22nd minute a left-footed shot was easily saved by Ádám Varga, but in the 31st minute he had to make a big save. In the 34th minute Zachariassen came off and was replaced by our new signing Isaac Pappoe. In the 41st minute, Abu Fani broke into the penalty area and the Slovenian goalkeeper had to intervene. A minute later, however, Ádám Varga needed a bravura save. Towards the end of the first half, Cissé's deep ball found Owusu, but he fired into the keeper from close range.

Second half

For the restart Pascal Jansen made a complete line-up change and the team of Szécsi - Pászka, Tóth A., Aaneba, Civic - Kehinde, Katona, Gojak, Sevikjan - Kodro, Pesics came out on the pitch. Right at the beginning of the second half we had a header over the top and then Sevikjan's shot was not accurate either. Then Civic's flat cross was saved by the goalkeeper. There was danger in front of the Nafta goal in the 53rd minute, Kehinde's pass was deflected by an opponent and the ball went just wide of the goal. Immediately afterwards Kodro failed to find the net. Katona also tried to score from distance but was unsuccessful. Then in the 61st minute the ice was broken when Gojak fired a ball off the keeper into the goal (1-0)! Kehinde was then in position but could not increase our lead. In the 68th minute Zsombor Gruber and Zétény Varga came on for Sevikjan and Katona.

In the 73rd minute, Zétény Varga's shot bounced off the defenders, Pesics shot over from a corner and Szécsi had to save after a counter attack. In the 82nd minute, Pappoe had another chance, this time replacing Kehinde. Six minutes later, Zétény Varga's unexpected shot was dangerously low but just over the top bar.

Our team started the summer training camp with a win and will next face Sepsi on Thursday 27 June at 17.00 in the training camp.
