WE ARE OUT OF THE MOL HUNGARIAN CUP
In the 4th round of the MOL Hungarian Cup, our team lost 3-2 to Iváncsa after extra time.

After defeating Bicske 2-0, our defending Hungarian champions and cup winners played as guests of Iváncsa from the Central Group of NB III in the 4th round of the MOL Hungarian Cup. Stanislav Cherchesov started the match with Bogdán - Botka, S. Mmaee, Thelander, Knoester - Laidouni, Besic - Zachariassen, Mercier, Traoré - R. Mmaee.

First half

The home side started the match but we took control of the game after the first passes. We had the first chance to score, but we did not find the goal. Two minutes later, after Zachariassen's masterful turn, first Traoré and then Laidouni tried, both times Varga saved, but Zachariassen put the third into the net (0-1).

Then, in the sixth minute Suszter shot into the long bottom corner to level the scores (1-1). After the home equaliser, we created a series of chances, but failed to find the net. In the 18th minute, Ryan Mmaee headed home from a left-wing corner (1-2).

As the end of the first half approached, Traoré made a good pass to Mercier on the left, but his attempt was blocked by the defenders. A minute later Ivancsa also threatened, but Thelander made a great save. In extra time, Laidouni had another chance but missed the target and we went into the break with a 2-1 lead.

Second half

After the turnaround, we had to wait just two minutes for the first chance, Zachariassen headed wide from Mercier's cross. A minute later, a right-wing corner was saved by Varga.

Three minutes later, Aradi equalised (2-2). Almost immediately, we made a substitution: Besic was replaced by Vécsei and Mercier by Gojak. A minute later another change was made, with Wingo replacing Botka, who was wearing the captain's armband.

Towards the end, we made another change with Zachariassen replaced by Marquinhos. In the 83rd minute, Marquinhos tried twice, but both times the Iváncsa defence blocked. In the last minutes of normal time, the game was played in the field, but no serious situation could develop. At the start of extra time, Marquinhos curled in a free kick and Thelander headed wide of the goal. Gojak's lift was then cleared by the home defenders. No further goals were scored and the extra time began.

In the first minute of extra time, Vécsei shot but was blocked by the defence, while the Hungarian midfielder was again in position after a corner kick, but his header missed the target. Four minutes later, Kercsó gave the home side the lead (3-2). Before the turnaround, Marquinhos shot from outside the penalty area, but the Brazilian's effort was cleared by Varga from the top corner.

Pászka replaced Thelander for the second period of extra time. In the 110th minute, Traoré's header went wide and Varga's effort was saved. Then Samy Mmaee's shot was also cleared. Vécsei also came close to an equaliser but his header went wide, and Wingo repeated the effort. Twice in the 120th minute, the Ivancsa goalkeeper made great saves. There was no time for any more chances.

Our team said goodbye to the MOL Hungarian Cup 2022/23.
