The championship started with a win for our 34-time Hungarian men’s football champions, defeating Fehérvár 5-3 in the second round of the Hungarian Championship. Our new midfielder, Mohammed Abu Fani played a decisive role in the victory, giving out three assists in just eight minutes.
- This was your first game in the Hungarian League, how did you feel to be on the pitch?
- We played a difficult game, but I think that we put on a good performance, and I am extremely happy that we could start the season with a win.
- You gave out three assists, playing a huge role in our victory. How would you rate your own performance?
- I am satisfied with my own performance, especially with the assists, because this is the best way to help my teammates, although the victory was a team effort. We had to believe in ourselves, and this helped us a lot in getting the three points.
- It’s been a few weeks since you arrived, have you found your place in the team?
- Without a doubt. The chemistry is very good among the players, and this a fantastic community. They’ve been helping me a lot in getting settled since my first day. I am very grateful for them, they made me feel welcome.
- You have won your last three game. How did the team managed to do this?
- I think we needed more time to get to know each other on and off the pitch. You can only be successful when there’s cohesion inside the team and when you give it everything you’ve got. I think that we found the right path, but we have to work harder to stay on the winning tracks.
