Defeat against ZTE
Ferencvaros lost 3-1 in Zalaegerszeg in the Fizz League after Cissé was sent off.

Our defending champion men's soccer team took on ZTE FC in the 21st round of the Fizz League. Robbie Keane sent Gróf, Cissé, Gómez, Raemaekers, Osváth, Ötvös, Kanikovszki, Abu Fani, Nagy B., Gruber, and Kovacevic onto the field as starters.

First half

Due to smoke before the match, visibility was limited even at kick-off, but this did not bother the teams. Osváth and Gruber started actively on the right wing, but Gundel-Takács confidently cleared the first cross. In the 13th minute, however, Csonka slid into Gruber's corner kick, which was perfect for Bence Ötvös, who shot into the near post without hesitation (0-1). After the goal, however, our team was weakened when Ibrahim Cissé tackled Szendrei. The referee first gave our defender a yellow card, then sent him off after consulting VAR. In the seven minutes of added time, Gábor Szalai could have scored with a header, but his shot bounced off the crossbar. In the final minutes, Abu Fani tried to lob Gundel-Takács from the center circle, but the goalkeeper was back in his goal.

Second half

The home team started the second half more actively, with Abu Fani threatening the Zalaegerszeg goal first, but his shot went over the bar. In the 65th minute, ZTE equalized when Calderon passed the rebound into the empty net (1-1), despite Gróf Dávid's save. In the 77th minute, Attila Osváth found himself in a good position, but his low shot was saved by Gundel-Takács. However, in the 85th minute, the home team was awarded a penalty after Júlio Romao handled the ball inside the box. Skribek kept his cool and ZTE turned the game around (2-1). We mobilized all our strength in extra time, but the home team scored again through Lima, giving ZTE a 3-1 victory.

Ferencváros will next play on Thursday, February 19, at 9:00 p.m. as guests of Ludogorec in the Europa League.
