The first summer signing for our men's football team has arrived, as Ghanaian youth national team midfielder Isaac Pappoe from Ashdod, Israel, continues his career at Ferencváros.
Biography
Isaac Pappoe was born on 20 December 2003. In 2022, at the age of 19, he was transferred from Ghana to the Israeli club FC Ashdod. Isaac Pappoe spent last season on loan at Swiss second division side FC Aarau.
The player, who can be deployed as a defensive or attacking midfielder, played 2,165 minutes in 28 league games in Switzerland, scoring two goals and assisting five. In the Swiss Cup, he played in one match and played 84 minutes.
He has also previously played twice for Ghana U20.
"Isaac Pappoe is a very talented footballer with good qualities, who is a complex midfielder. He impressed us with his skills in both the defensive and attacking phases of the game. Despite his young age, he shows a very mature game. He has attracted attention with his physical abilities, his speed and his ability to possess the ball. He is a footballer with a winning mentality, and we would like to see him bring that to Ferencváros. Isaac could be an important signing for us in the future, but we want him to show his talent to our fans as soon as possible" said sporting director Tamás Hajnal about our new player.
