Ferencvárosi Torna Club has signed a contract with Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane. Get to know our newest footballer below!

Biography

Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane was born on 6 September 1999 in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. The multi-talented midfielder has only ever played for one club, Tunisian top-flight side Esperance Tunis - he was promoted from youth to senior level in the summer of 2018 and has made 143 appearances for Esperance in the five years since. He is a five-time Tunisian champion, a one-time Super Cup winner and won the African Champions League in the 2018/2019 season.

Last season was Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane's most successful season to date, with the goal-scoring midfielder making 38 appearances in all competitions and scoring 14 goals. Looking at his overall stats, he scored 34 times in 143 appearances for Esperance, but also handed out 6 assists. In the video below you can see some of the best moments of his 2022.

Our newest player made his debut for the national side of Tunisia in October 2019 and was a member of the 2022 World Cup squad, as was our former player Aissa Laidouni, who was still with FTC at the time. Ben Romdhane did not play in the group matches against Denmark and Australia, but he did play 74 minutes in the 1-0 win over defending champions France.

Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane is FTC's 10th summer signing, with Varga Ádám, Mohammed Abu Fani, Péter Baráth, Ibrahim Cissé, Ádám Halmai, Tosin Kehinde, Cebrail Makreckis, Barnabás Varga and Aleksandar Pesic having previously signed for Ferencváros.
