
Our men's football team, 36-time Hungarian champions, defending champions in NB I and UEL main table contenders, continues to grow stronger! After Argentine Mariano Gómez, Dutch Elton Acolatse and Croatian Franko Kovacevic, we have signed Máriusz Corbu! The 179-centimeter-tall midfielder, who is of Csángó descent and has dual Romanian-Hungarian citizenship, was born on May 7, 2002.
In September 2019, at the age of 17, he made his debut in the adult team of Csíkszereda. In 2020, he was signed by Puskás Akadémia, where he first got a chance to play in the second team. In August 2020, he made his debut in the Felcsút senior team in a 3-2 home win against Újpest. Between 2020 and 2024, he played a total of 112 league games for Puskás Akadémia, scoring 12 goals. He won silver in 2021 and bronze in 2022 with the Felcsút team in the top flight.
In August 2024, he signed with APOEL in Cyprus. In the current season, he has scored four goals and made six assists in 18 league games in the Cypriot top flight.
He has also played for the Romanian U20 and U21 national teams.
