We have strengthened with a Hungarian midfielder
Bence Ötvös, a 27-year-old midfielder, will continue his career in Ferencváros.

After the arrival of the Brazilian Cadu, our defending Hungarian champions team is further strengthened, as we have signed the 27-year-old, MOL Hungarian Cup winner Bencé Ötvös, who can also play as a defender and midfielder.

Introduction

Bence Ötvös was born on 13 March 1998 in Nyíregyháza. Here he got acquainted with football, played for the youth teams of Nyíregyháza, and then in 2017 he was loaned to Cigánd. After one season, he returned to his boyhood club, where he spent another four years. In January 2021, Kisvárda took him on loan and signed him at the end of the season. He spent three seasons at Kisvárda, where he received more than 7,500 minutes in 114 games. During this time he helped his team with 4 goals and 14 assists.

His reliability, hard work and constant willingness to fight attracted the attention of several teams, and in the summer of 2024 he was transferred to Paks, who celebrated their first cup win in their history shortly before. In his first season, he was an immediate starter for his new side, playing in both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League qualifiers, scoring and assisting in the latter series. He scored against Larnaca and assisted against Mornar Bar.

In the OTP Bank League, he appeared in 32 matches and, as a defensive midfielder, has eight goals and four assists to his name. He scored against Zalaegerszeg, ETO FC Győr, Fehérvár, DVSC and Kecskemét. He was also a key man for defending champions Paks in the MOL Hungarian Cup, scoring two goals in the 3-0 win over Mezőkövesd.

Bence Ötvös has played in 243 games so far, scoring 26 goals and 30 assists.
