WE PREPARED FOR ZVEZDA WITH A VICTORY
Ferencváros men's football team won 2-0 against DVSC with goals from Vécsei and Zachariassen.

Our defending champion and cup winner men's football team hosted DVSC in the 10th round of the OTP Bank Liga at the Groupama Arena. We played with the line-up Dibusz - Botka, Knoester, S. Mmaee, Civic - Esiti, Vécsei - Traoré, Gojak, Zachariassen - R. Mmaee. Before kick-off, FTC President Gábor Kubatov and FTC Labdarúgó Zrt. CEO Pál Orosz welcomed our captain Dénes Dibusz, who defended the goal for the 250th time against Kisvárda in a league match.

First half

Almost immediately after the kick-off we created several big chances, Traoré and Ryan Mmaee came close to scoring, but neither of them were successful. Then there was fireworks in front of our goal, but DVSC could not score. The first goal came in the 11th minute, when Bálint Vécsei gave us the lead (1-0). In the 23rd minute, Civic's left-wing cross was cut out for a last-minute corner, from which Knoester headed into the goal, but Gróf saved. At the other end, Dzsudzsák tried an acrobatic move to put the ball into the net, but the 108-times Hungary international midfielder shot over. In the 32nd minute, Civic's corner was again threatened by the advancing Knoester, but Gróf was on hand, and two minutes later Traoré was cleared at the last minute. Soon after, Civic again crossed the ball into the middle for Ryan Mmaee, but the Moroccan international hit the post. We created a lot of chances and converted one of them to go into the break with an advantage.

Second half

Neither coach made a substitution at the break. In the 53rd minute Traoré's close range shot was saved by Gróf. In the 55th minute we made our first change: Esitit was replaced by Muhamed Besic. Not a minute later, Kristoffer Zachariassen increased our lead after a clearance. After Traoré's cross, Ryan Mmaee's shot was saved by Gróf, but the rebound was collected by our Norwegian national team player who finished confidently (2-0). In the 69th minute, Baráth shot from close range, but missed the target. In the 75th minute, Civic crossed a corner to Vécsei, who shot just over from 17 metres. Zachariassen then twice set up Traore, whose shot was blocked first by a defender and then by Gróf. Gojak was replaced by Dávid Sigér and Traoré by Marquinhos, before Vécsei and Civic left the pitch. The former was replaced by Xavier Mercier and the latter by Lóránd Pászka. In extra time, Marquinhos' roll was saved by the visitors' goalkeeper.

Our team eventually won 2-0 and can look forward to next Thursday's UEFA Europa League match against Crvena Zvezda with confidence.
