Our men’s football team is strengthening its player base with the Bosnian national team player Adnan Kovacevic who spent the last three seasons in the Polish Korona Kielce.
Kovacevic was born in 1993 and made his debut in the Bosnian Premier League when he was only 17, in the team of Travnik. He was given more and more opportunities to show his abilities on the pitch, and quickly became an important player of his team. He caught the attention of other clubs and spent the 2013/14 season playing in the same league, but in the jersey of FK Sarajevo.
This proved to be a great decision, as he won the Bosnian Cup in the first season, and came first in the league in his second season with the team. He spent four seasons there, and then decided to go abroad and signed a contract with the Polish Korona Kielce.
He was a crucial player here too. In 2019, he also became the captain of the team, and then he even made his debut in the national team. Kovacevic finished in the middle of the table with Korona Kielce in the first two seasons, but this season his club is currently only in the penultimate position.
His first match in the national team was a European Championship qualifier, which they’ve won 4-1 against the Finns. Kovacevic could play alongside teammates such as Juventus star Miralem Pjanic and Arsenal defenseman Sead Kolasinac. Since then, he has been able to play twice more against the Greeks and the Italians, both as a starter.
Kovacevic was primarily in the middle of the defense in his teams so far. Our latest signing will play for the successes of Fradi, along with the also Bosnian national team player Eldar Civic.
