The stands of Groupama Arena were filled today again for the Budapest derby against Újpest. The teams were both offensive and the opponents were somewhat more initiative. No matter, Franck Boli received a crossing in the 23rd minute and he scored from short distance. Both teams had chances, the opponents even hit the bar once but Fradi fought as a massive unit today and blocked all chances.
Today’s victory means a new club record: our team has a strike of being unbeaten at home games for 41 matches. The previous record holder was the team with Albert, Rákosi and Brankovits.
Next week we continue against CSKA Moscow away in the group stage of the Europa League.
