Win over Zalaegerszeg by Varga's goal
Our footballers won 1-0 in their last home game of the year.

Our thirty-five-time champion men's football team hosted ZTE in the 16th round of the OTP Bank Liga. Before the game, our club president Gábor Kubatov presented the HSA Player of the Month award to our best player of November, our national team player Barnabas Varga. On the occasion of the World Day of People with Disabilities, our players were accompanied by special guests, children with disabilities, handicaps and autism, to the Groupama Arena pitch.

First half

After the kick-off, we took the initiative, but failed to hit the target after Traoré's solo effort in the first minutes. In the eighth minute, the Malian winger crossed again from the right wing and then crossed to Barnabás Varga, but the effort was saved by Gundel-Takács.
The dominance in the field was converted in the 11th minute, award-winner Varga Barnabás scored the goal (1-0). Three minutes later, Cissé appeared in the attacking third and passed to Kehinde, but our winger shot wide of the goal.

In the 25th minute, Kady was in position after a corner, but he curled his shot from ten meters over the top right. Shortly afterwards, Traoré won the ball and passed it into the middle, Barnabás Varga passed to Rommens, but our midfielder's shot was saved by the home goalkeeper. In the 34th minute, Pascal Jansen made a forced substitution, replacing Kady with Ben Romdhane due to injury. In the 36th minute, Gábor Márton also made a change, replacing Nyírit Bakti. Eight minutes later, the visitors had a real chance, a free kick was headed to Csonka, who bombed under the bar from distance, but Dibusz cleared the attempt.

Second half

Immediately after the turnaround Kehinde took a chance, but Gundel-Takács saved with his legs, and soon afterwards Barnabás Varga's attempt was saved by the ZTE goalkeeper. The visitors' reply came in the 49th minute when Mim headed wide of the goal. In the 59th minute, Zachariassen replaced Traoré and Pesics replaced goal-scorer Barnabás Varga. In the 76th minute, Ipalibo threatened, but the ball bounced off our defenders for a corner.

In the 81st minute Kehinde left the field, replaced by Gruber. Our young striker got in well, after a clearance he made a spectacular move to leave his defender stranded and then set Pesicic in motion, but his ball proved long. A few minutes later Gruber came out again, but this time his pass did not find our Serbian striker. In the 86th minute the visitors threatened with a header from a corner, but Dibusz had no trouble with the effort.

In the second half our team led more attacks but did not score another goal. Our footballers will next play PAOK away on Thursday 12 December in the UEFA Europa League sixth round.
