ZACHARIASSEN'S GOAL EARNS ONE POINT IN FELCSÚT
With the 1-1 draw against Puskás Akadémia we remained in second place in the NB I standings.

Our defending champion men's football team arrived in Felcsút with the goal to take back the first place in the NB I table from Paks with a win, while Puskás Akadémia, who were very competitive after the Hungarian Cup knockout, tuned up for the match with a mini training camp in Hévíz, where the main focus was on the development of the players' fitness. Head coach Dejan Stankovic sent the following starting line-up to the Pancho Arena: Dibusz – Botka, Wingo, Cissé, Ramírez – Abu Fani, Makreckis – Marquinhos, Zachariassen, Traoré – Pesics.

First half

The home team started the match in temperatures around freezing. The first opportunity was ours in the 6th minute, Zachariassen roared down the left, his cross was hit into the middle by the diving Markek, but Pesics came up short, not in the middle, so no shot was taken. Shortly afterwards, also from the left, Abu Fani sent in a corner, Cissé headed in, Markek saved, the cleared ball was headed out from Cissé. After another left-wing corner and we took the lead: in the 18th minute Abu Fani rolled the ball in, Pesics slipped it in at the short corner and Zachariassen curled the ball into the bottom left corner from close range (0-1). In the 27th minute, Puskás came close to scoring for the first time, Favorov dribbled in from the right to the corner of the five and shot the ball between the legs of the defenders towards the bottom left corner, but Dibusz made a great save. We responded to the situation, after Makreckis' cross into the middle, Pesics shot first into the block and then over from 13 metres. In the 32nd minute, we created another great situation: Marquinhos, Pesics, Traoré passed between each other, the latter cut the ball back to the oncoming Zachariassen from 6 meters from goal, who shot into an onrushing defender. We closed the half with two additional shots, Ramírez first unfortunately hitting Pesic, and then our Serbian striker fired into the block, ending the first 45 minutes.

Second half

Fradi had the first chance of the second half, Pesics shot from 11 metres after Marquinhos' left wing cross, but Markek got on the ball. In the 57th minute Puskás Akadémia equalised, Zsolt Nagy crossed to Lamin Colley, who broke into the box: he made no mistake against Dibusz and shot into the middle of the goal (1-1). In the 63rd minute, Felcsút almost turned the game around, the ball fell to Zsolt Nagy, who shot from the penalty area, unchallenged by anyone, and hit the ball between the top bar and the left post. In the 73rd minute we threatened again, Makreckis shot wide, the ball bounced out from Makrek towards Traoré but the home keeper managed to collect the ball. Then the substitutions started, first the home team and then Fradi changed two players, Gojak and Lisztes replaced Botka and Traoré. In the 83rd minute, Marquinhos found the net, but he did it from offside, so the goal was disallowed. Fradi had more opportunities in the second half, but no more goals were scored.

Our team stayed in second place in the table, two points behind Paks, but we still played one game less than the team from Tolna.
