ZTE – FTC 1-2
Ferencvaros claimed the first league win today against Zalaegerszeg.

FTC’s men’s football team has not played many matches this season yet, today’s league round was only the second for us in the new season. Our team was only a few days after the 2-1 victory over Celtic in Glasgow and tonight the players needed to concentrate on collecting the first win of the season.

We played confidently from the start and had many attempts which at first were conceded by the ZTE goalkeeper. Then, in the 32ndminute Babati received a good launch, when he was brought down by the Fradi defender Botka: ZTE received a penalty while Botka a red card. Dibusz saved the penalty shot so the result remained 0-0.

Even if we were in one-man disadvantage, we scored the first goal: Civic was left free at around 20 meters from the goal and curved the ball into the top right corner: a beautiful leading goal. After half time we extended the lead quickly: Haratin headed freely to the net in the 54th minute.

The result was unchanged for approximately 30 minutes, we controlled the match with slight ZTE chances. For the last 10 minutes, the home team started playing more offensively and managed to close up in the 82nd minute. This goal increased their spirit even more but the match ended with 1-2. Ferencvaros defeated ZTE and collected three points.
