Ferencváros women's handball team recorded a brilliant 23-20 victory in Bucharest in the 12th round of the Champions League group stage on the weekend. The match was played in front of a full house and in an excellent atmosphere, with the home club acting correctly throughout, but there was an unfortunate incident after the final signal.
Some home fans made racist remarks towards our French Olympic champion Béatrice Edwige. Ferencváros has been fighting against all forms of exclusion and discrimination for more than a decade, using all means and methods at its disposal, and our club now stands by its athlete, condemns this form of exclusion and will take the necessary steps to ensure that similar atrocities do not occur in the future.
