The 21-year-old right winger of the FTC-Green Collect men's handball team, Bence Imre, was one of the key players of the Hungarian national team at his first adult tournament, the European Championship held in Germany in January.
His classy performance has not escaped the attention of the biggest clubs in Europe, so now we can announce the biggest transfer in the last few years of the domestic men's handball sport: our home-grown player will continue his career in one of the best teams in the world, THW Kiel.
Bence Imre has been playing for Ferencváros since September 2013, but it is fair to say that he has been a member of the Fradi family since his birth, thanks to his mother Beatrix Kökény. He came up through the youth ranks, making his NB I debut in the spring of 2019, and since then he has scored over 300 goals for our adult team.

He has been part of the successes of recent years, helping our men's team to reach the international stage, where they have achieved outstanding results and reached the last 16 of the European League. Before the great European Championship in January, he won a silver medal at the World Junior Championships last summer.
His next stop, THW Kiel, is arguably one of the biggest clubs in men's handball. 23-time German champions and they have also won the Champions League four times (2007, 2010, 2012, 2020). There are several world class players in theri squad, they finished on top of their CL-group, and from the summer they will be strengthened with one of the most promising players in Hungarian handball.
