Our women’s handball team is performing successfully in the season of 2024/2025, having claimed the Hungarian Cup for the fourth time in a row at the beginning of March. The team is leading the national championship and is preparing for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The most important matches of the year are just around the corner, but alongside daily responsibilities, the club’s management is constantly working on future plans.
As previously announced, our team will begin the 2025/2026 season with a new head coach, as Jesper Jensen will take over from Allan Heine, who is stepping down for family reasons.
Our club is in daily contact with the future head coach, who is planning not only every detail related to the team but also his life in Budapest with full power.
– I’m already looking forward to the summer, as I’m joining a special project, and we’ve been working for a long time to ensure everything runs smoothly from the very first moment. I regret that my words were misunderstood recently at the end of a rather long press conference when I answered a question about the worst-case scenario regarding my wife’s injury. We’ve been through a difficult time, but fortunately, her condition is improving day by day, and I trust — as all signs indicate — that this positive trend will continue in the coming months. Of course, my family is very important to me, but my decision hasn’t changed: I want to be the head coach of Ferencváros starting in the summer of 2025.
