Win by 2
FTC fought a great battle, won by two against Metz, yet the French team left happily.

A crucial match was organized in the Women’s Handball Champions League on Saturday, FTC played against Metz. Huge expectations were built prior the match and all tickets were sold weeks before today. The match started slow, the first goal was scored after seven minutes thanks to the goalkeepers. The teams went head by head and in the balanced game, fewer than average goals were scored. By half-time FTC created a dominant 4-goal lead anyways. Due to suspensions in the second half the opponents came up again, and made it very close. By the final signal the difference was reduced to two. Although FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria defeated Metz 29-27, the two goals difference was not enough to take the French team’s place in the group. This way FTC finishes most likely 3rd in the group.
